Eagles – Giants Week 12 Inactives

The Eagles are surging after a slow start to the season, while the Giants just fired their offensive coordinator after one-and-a-half disappointing seasons to try and provide a spark. The Giants are also very banged up, especially on the offensive side of the ball, while the Eagles are relatively healthy other than players like Brandon Graham and Brandon Brooks, who are dealing with long-term injuries. Let’s take a look at the Eagles – Giants Week 12 inactives.

Eagles Week 12 Inactives

  • Running back Jordan Howard was ruled out earlier in the week and will miss at least this game with a knee injury. The Eagles have their bye week in Week 14, so it would not be surprising to see the team hold him out next week against the Jets, too.
  • Linebacker Davion Taylor was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury this week. He joins Brandon Graham, Brandon Brooks, and Isaac Seumalo on IR. Brooks is expected to return at some point this season
  • Quarterback Reid Sinnett was recently claimed off waivers and is unlikely to be active anytime soon unless the Eagles suffer an injury at the position.

Giants Week 12 Inactives

  • Wide receiver Sterling Shepard was ruled out on Friday. Shepard is penciled in as a starter for the Giants but has appeared in just five games this season.
  • Wide receiver Kadarius Toney was listed as doubtful with a quad injury and is now inactive. Toney has flashed his potential this season but has dealt with injuries and inconsistency.
  • Tight end Kaden Smith was ruled out on Friday, while Kyle Rudolph, who was listed as doubtful on the team’s final injury report, is also inactive. Rudolph has played over 50% of the team’s offensive snaps this season, while Smith has played just under 30%. With Smith and Rudolph out, the Giants are down to Evan Engram and Chris Myarick at tight end. Engram has played more than 50% of the team’s offensive snaps but is not consider a great blocker, while Myarick has played just 21 snaps on offense this season. Look for the Giants to utilize fullback Elijhaa Penny more as a blocker today.
  • Fullback Cullen Gillaspia is a special teams contributor but has only played four snaps on offense this season. With the aforementioned tight ends out, it’s possible the Giants could have used Gillaspia more in the running game, but he is out today with a calf injury.
