Heading into their Week 8 matchup against the Detroit Lions, we already know the Eagles are going to be without running back Miles Sanders, who was placed on injured reserve earlier in the week. They will also be without cornerback Zech McPhearson and safety Anthony Harris. One player the Eagles will have for the first time this season is running back Jordan Howard, who is being elevated from the practice squad.

In a bit of a surprise, former starting linebacker Eric Wilson is inactive despite not being listed on the injury report this week.

Here is the full list of inactives for this Week 8 matchup between the Eagles and Lions at Ford Field in Detroit.

Eagles Week 8 Inactives

  • With Joe Flacco getting traded to the New York Jets last week, Gardner Minshew is active as Jalen Hurts’s backup for the first time this season.
  • Running back Jordan Howard is active for the first time and could be up for the next few games with Miles Sanders on IR.
  • Linebacker Eric Wilson was not on the injury report and appears to be a healthy scratch.
  • Quarterback Reid Sinnett was recently claimed off waivers and is unlikely to be active anytime soon unless the Eagles suffer an injury at the position.
  • Safety Anthony Harris is inactive, but K’Von Wallace makes his return and should see time at safety. Wallace may start or could split time with Marcus Epps.
  • Sua Opeta recently came off the COVID-19 list but is inactive.

Lions Week 8 Inactives

  • The big one to note here is running back Jamaal Williams. The Lions will have D’Andre Swift active but will be without Williams, who plays a key role on offense and has received double-digit touches in six of his seven games this season. That is a big boost for an Eagles defense that has struggled to stop anyone on the ground this season.
