It was another rough day of injury news for the Eagles. When practice began on Wednesday afternoon, rookie wide receiver Jalen Reagor was on the sidelines watching. Shortly thereafter, Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philadelphia reported that Reagor had suffered a UCL tear in his thumb and will “be out a while.”

“A while” quickly became injured reserve, surgery, and 6-to-8 weeks, according to reports from NFL insiders Mike Garafolo, Ian Rapoport, and Adam Caplan. John Clark later added that his sources tell him the team hopes Reagor can return after the bye week November 17.

As an added bonus, defensive tackle Fletcher Cox is reportedly dealing with an oblique injury that could sideline him for this week’s matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Rudy Ford, who has been one of the few bright spots through the first two weeks due to his excellent special teams play, is also injured. The Eagles play their injury situations close to the vest, but we can probably assume that “week-to-week” means Ford will be out for at least this week and could even be a candidate for injured reserve. We’ll know more about that later in the week.

Later on Wednesday afternoon, the team published their official injury report for the day.

Eagles Week 3 Wednesday Injury Report

Corey Clement, who played just three snaps in the team’s Week 2 loss to the Rams, did not practice due to an illness. Also missing practice were DeSean Jackson, Malik Jackson, and Alshon Jeffery. The Jacksons were merely getting veteran’s rest days, as were Jason Kelce and Jason Peters, who practiced on a limited basis, while Jeffery remains out as he recovers from offseason foot surgery.

Lane Johnson was limited as he continues to recover from ankle surgery, but he played nearly all of the team’s offensive snaps on Sunday and should be fine going forward.

If Fletcher Cox is forced to miss time, the Eagles will likely rotate Javon Hargrave, Malik Jackson, and Hassan Ridgeway at defensive tackle while also rotating in T.Y. McGill and possibly moving Brandon Graham inside on passing downs.

The Eagles have been dealing with large amounts of injuries for several seasons now, and it doesn’t look like 2020 is going to be any different. In fact, if the amount of significant injuries we saw across the NFL on Sunday is any indication, 2020 could very well be worse.

Eagles Week 3 Thursday Injury Report

The big news on Thursday was that Alshon Jeffery returned to practice, albeit in a limited fashion. Jeffery is unlikely to play this week since this is his first practice in more than nine months, but it is good to see him progressing.

Fletcher Cox missed practice again with an abdomen injury, and he should be considered very questionable for Week 3. Jalen Reagor, as previously discussed, is headed to IR and is expected to miss around 6-to-8 weeks. Rudy Ford is week-to-week and is likely to miss Week 3, as well.

Everyone else, though, practiced in full on Thursday. Official injury designations come out tomorrow afternoon.

Eagles Week 3 Friday Injury Report

Fletcher Cox returned to practice on Friday in a limited fashion, and he is officially listed as questionable for Week 3. Alshon Jeffery, who returned to practice this week for the first time in nine months, is listed as out. Rudy Ford and Jalen Reagor are also both unsurprisingly listed as out.

Reagor had surgery to repair his thumb yesterday and is expected to miss approximately two months. Jeffery returned to practice this week and, in theory, could return sometime in the next two weeks.

As for Fletcher Cox, there is optimism that he is going to play:
